I love the holiday season. I get pumped up beginning the day after Halloween. However, right after Christmas I start losing momentum. I still love New Years because it is like a fresh start, but the bad thing is that not only do we need to look at doing our taxes, the worst part is that all of my insurances become due. Years ago, that didn't bother me. My homeowners insurance wasn't really that high, but now, after Hurricane Katrina, the insurance is almost unaffordable. The good thing though is that as my husband and I have gotten older our car insurance as actually dropped. No matter, I still hate writing those checks in January!
