In my guest bathroom I had a free standing sink. It was beautiful, however, I found out the downfall of these types of sinks. Like a toilet, if someone of any size leans on it in an unbalaced way, it can break loose from the floor, which mine did. When it hit the tile floor it was demolished. So, I went out looking at an American Standard sink with a base cabinet this time. I think this will hold up better at my house.
